How packs get featured.

Every rail on this marketplace is chosen automatically. Here is exactly how, in plain language.

Who decides what gets featured?

Nobody. Featured, Trending and the category Spotlight are chosen by an automated system that runs on a schedule. There is no curator, no submission form, and no way to request placement — the software that would let someone promote a pack by hand does not exist.

What actually decides it?

Copy rate matters most: how many people who viewed a pack went on to copy a prompt from it. A view can be an accident; a copy is intent. Because small samples are unreliable — two views and two copies is not a 100% pack — we use the conservative lower bound of that rate, so a pack has to accumulate real evidence before it outranks one that already has some.

Can a brand-new pack ever be featured?

Yes, and one slot every week is RESERVED for it. Without that reservation a system like this drifts toward whatever is already popular, and new creators would have no route to the homepage at all. The reserved slot is filled from packs published in the last 60 days with modest traffic.

Why did my pack drop off the Featured rail?

Featured packs rest for a few weeks after appearing, so the shelf keeps rotating rather than freezing on the same handful. The exact rest period scales with how many packs are eligible: a small catalogue rests packs for less time, because otherwise there would be nothing left to choose from.

How is Trending different from Most viewed?

Trending measures VELOCITY, not volume: how unusual a pack’s current week is compared with its own recent history. A large pack with steady traffic is popular but not trending. A smaller pack that suddenly triples is trending even though it has fewer views. If you want raw volume, sort by Most viewed.

Why is the Trending rail sometimes short, or missing?

Because only packs that are genuinely surging appear in it. If four packs qualify, it shows four. If fewer than two qualify, it is hidden entirely. Padding it with flat packs would make the word "trending" a false statement.

Can I pay for placement, or ask to be featured?

No. There is no paid promotion, no sponsorship, and no request process. This is a deliberate design decision, not a policy we might revisit quietly — the endpoint to promote a pack was never built.

Does refreshing my own pack page help?

No. Traffic from your own workspace is excluded, views are counted once per visitor per day, copies are counted per account and capped, and a single unusual day is clipped before it reaches any ranking. Inflating these numbers is more work than publishing a good pack.

Does being featured inflate my future ranking?

No, and this one is worth knowing: the ranking is computed from ORGANIC traffic only — visits that did not arrive through a rail. Otherwise being featured would inflate the exact numbers that decide featuring, and the first week’s winner would stay there forever.

What are pins, then?

You can pin up to three packs to the top of YOUR OWN store page. Pins never affect the marketplace, the rails, or search ranking — they are how you arrange your own shelf, not a way to reach anyone else’s.
